Rob joined Summit Financial as a partner in September of 2006 and has 22 years of experience working independently in the financial services industry. He brings his knowledge to his clients in an enthusiastic package.
Rob holds a Certified Financial Planner designation, (C.F.P.), a proud member and Volunteer of Advocis –the Financial Advisors Association of Canada. He has volunteered many hours of his time to advocate with Government and Regulators on behalf of Advisors. He is licensed to sell Life, and Accident and Sickness insurance.
Rob has a basic process for meeting and dealing with clients but he tailors his solutions to each client’s unique needs. Because he deals with Business Owners, Retirees, Professionals, Families etc, he has continually educated himself on the various needs that clients have. This includes assistance with investments, insurance, tax and estate planning advice etc.
Rob works best with clients who are well on their way to financial independence. His clients range from those who want to feel financially secure as they near retirement, to those who want to make sure their wealth goes to their families and not the CRA. Regardless of your situation, Rob is happy to create a retirement projection or a fully integrated financial plan to suit your needs.
Rob's Involvement in Vernon
Rob is an active volunteer in Vernon. “I come from a rural Saskatchewan community and those roots have helped to shape my beliefs. I believe it is important to contribute to your community, to make it a better place for everyone who lives there. I love sports, and helping kids and families stay active while learning to love physical activity just seems to be a natural way for me to help.” Rob proudly holds a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan. He has dedicated thousands of hours to sport in BC through active coaching and coach training.
Rob is passionate about hockey and golf, and loves to cross country ski, fish, vegetable garden etc. His latest hobby is beekeeping! But if you know Rob, you know that he is always game to try any new activity you introduce him to. Rob is a long time member of the Kalamalka Rotary Club, a volunteer with KidSport in Vernon and a member of the Board of the Vernon Golf and Country Club.

Corrie Bauml

Corrie did not set out with her further education to be an assistant to a Financial Planner, (unless training in interior design fits in there somewhere) but she did know that she enjoyed helping people. Although an assistant to a Financial Planner for 20 years now, she still finds time to “renovate and decorate” now an then and this included decorating the current Summit offices.
Outside the office, Corrie is a 20 year member of the Vernon Community band, performing several time a year at events throughout Vernon. Corrie also finds time to play adult league hockey , cross country skis and gets outdoors for long hikes and camping. Her greatest joy recently has been her new granddaughter with whom she makes time for whenever possible.

Ilona joined Summit Financial in April 2019 as office manager. After returning from a 1 year sabbatical, she kicked it into high gear and dove head first into the Mutual Funds licensing course followed by the Life Insurance licensing course. She is now a registered Investment Fund Advisor and registered Life Insurance Agent
Ilona has been a part of rob Bauml's team since 2021. She is the friendly voice when you phone in and the smile to greet you as you wait for your appointment. She is happy to assist clients with investment and insurance questions and is looking forward to building strong connections with Rob's clients and her own clients, building a strong team with Rob.
When no tin the office, days are filled with adventures with her husband and 2 kids, no matter the season. Exploring, camping, hiking, paddle boarding and lake time are prominent in Ilona's summers.
